This Hat for a Hat Stand is designed so festival goers can swap hats with each other at the festival.

I will make the stand from wood and bury it in the ground. I have access to a coppice woodland and wood workshop in Wales at the moment. So the wood is free and sustainably sourced. I will use the budget for tools: chainsaw fuel, a saw, sandpaper and a shinto rasp.

I will also make and collect as many hats as possible to stock up the hat stand before the festival. These will be made by me with fabric offcuts using some of the budget, and also any good hats I can find in charity shops.

I think th hats stand adds an opportunity for people to interact with each other and have fun excnahing hats. Because the materials are simple it is okay to trust people to use them unattended. I will bury the base of the hat stand to help keep it in place. I could also screw it onto an existing structure or build a base if that works better. Open to suggestions on this.

All materials apart from the wood will be pre existing to minimise evironmental impact. The wood is part of a woodland that I help to manage in Wales and is done in a sustainable way.

The Goblin Tower is an installation with little windows filled with creatures that will be lit at night using fairy lights. The tower is made from an old rotten apple tree that fell down and was given to me to be used as fire wood.

The windows mean that the small and delicate models of the goblins are kept safe from people. But people can still look into the windows to see the interior.

The Tower can be kept and deinstalled taken away and installed again next year. It will also be installed at Glastonbury in the Woodsies area.

Budget is for drill bits and woodworking tools, chisels and guages to hollow the rest of the tree.
Budget also covers set of solar powered fairly lights and some other tools.
Most materials are reclaimed weaving waste and natural materials from sustainable coppiced woodland.
